In our STEAM course, Cure, we learned about medicaments and drugs. We learned the differences of medicaments and drugs by looking at OTC drugs, prescription drugs, and unregulated drugs.
From this, we each chose a symptom that is caused by an illness, and looked at the different medicaments that can treat the symptom. I chose to look at Vertigo, and compare the different medicaments that can be used to treat vertigo. Down below is the slideshow!
LOCK & KEY MECHANISM
The lock & key mechanism is the function of how receptors ar stopped from reciving transmissions. For pain relief, some of the nerves in the body may have the receptors blocked off to stop the brain from receiving pain signals. Like the miracle berry, using the lock and key mechanism the receptors.
