History. Is it Repeating Itself?

In our class, Equality, we explore parts of American History that are discussed enough. Different parts of American history that isn't often talked about. Race, gender, and class are often ignored, though we see now more than ever how important these events are. Below is a slideshow formatted as an average student textbook, with topics of the past. Many textbooks narrate history from the "winning" perspective. For our class, we were assigned to write from the perspective of the minority, and the challenges they faced. This recent 2020 has been a historical year that many who experienced will never forget. To better understand this year, it's best to revisit some historical and influential moments and ask ourselves a question. Is history repeating itself?

Thank you for reading my work, and for taking the time to revisit or learn something from 2020 and before.
